CY50 chop build by Twinworker, which is a German workshop specialized in making one-off stainless steel parts. More modified CY50's by Twinworker can be found at CY50.de.
Two modified 12V Cubs.. The blue bike is modified by Kuruu. He sectioned and extended the frame, the seat is also done by the owner. Rearwheel and swingarm are from a Jazz or Magna50. The orange bike has been extensively modified as well as smoothed... A Cone custom?! Pictures are from the Kuruu blog !
From the Deep Funny Monkey blog.. Pic made at the Japanese RollUp Party. Chopped Dax with spoked wheels... Note the crazy velocity stack on top of the downdraft carb poking in the air as well as the cool headlight..
Some old out-of-focus pictures from 1996 made in backgarden..
Pascals SS50 with metallic grey gastank.. He set a local trend, re-using the stock low handlebars instead of the wide Tomasseli handlebars and speedgas.. Bike was sold at the legendary Vehikel swapmeet, when it was still at the "Jaarbeurs"..
Jeroens SS50 with a homemade paintjob using HEMA spraycans.. Rightside with the Canadian Maple leaf and leftside shows the Union Jack.. Last thing I heard Jeroen still has an SS50 stashed somewhere.
This yearly show is organised by the Dutch Bigtwin magazine and is held at Rosmalen in the Autotron Car museum. It's a 3-day event. Had a look on sunday together with my brother-in-law (who's a Harley rider).. Some over-the-top abortions as well as very cool bikes were present.. loved the K-model and XLCR1000..
Below are my sh$t pictures... enjoy -or bugger off-
And now, for something completely different.. We visited the Dutch police museum at Apeldoorn (NL) with my gf's little nephew some years ago.. Pictured are some of the cars present in the museum's collection.
Citroen HY amidst a bunch of 'hot pursuit' cop bicycles and lightweight motorcycles.
Porsche 911 Targa. The dudes piloting these wore white leather coats and orange pudding-bowl helmets..
Volkswagen beetle..
Mobile radarcontrol.. VW T2 with an extra door that reveals the radar device.. inside there's a little 'office' to read the latest issue of Playboy whilst eating a donut.. Some call it work ;)
VW T2 'GSA'.. saw this one quite often when I was a kid...
Clean bike with a strut instead of shock underneath the seat. Low clip-ons and a jockey shifter make for an interesting ride. Note the flamethrower exhaust: sparkplug in the trumpet muffler and a secondary coil for 'sparks'.. Pic from the i'net made at the '07 Mooneyes HRCS show in Yokohama (Japan).
CD50 with the warbird taillight. Something that a lot of chopper freaks seem to need to furfill the meaning of their life.. ..as well as a visit during a ride-out to the Mc.Donalds...
My brothers first '88 ST50J.. which was imported from the UK. Tyres were 130/90 in rear and 120/90 in front, fat tyres really were in vogue.. Frontfender was mounted directly underneath underneath the tripple tree. Plastic taillight holder went into the bin as well as the stock rearshocks. No-budget-tuning included a LeoVinci exhaust. There weren't much of these 12V Dax'es with the hydraulic fork around.. Pic from '97.
Speaking of fat tyres and LeoVinci exhausts... ...a bunch of Dax'es photographed during the 1997 Dax meeting Visé (Belgium).. 90's style tuning..
I have made these pictures in 1998 or 1999 at Veenendaal, the Netherlands. Ardjuna racing team was present with their yellow 1972 SS50 racer. They brought a friend as well running a classic styled black SS50 racer with intricate detailing. Up-to-date pics of both bikes can be found at the Ardjuna racing team homepage.
The Ardjuna SS50..
The black SS50..
This bitsa Honda powered racer was also present. Can't remember where the frame came from, but I do know that the exhaust megaphone came from a set of 4... yes, it's a table leg..
Yet another customized Chaly by Mr. K. Hill from the UK. He was clearly inspired by the Union 76 gas station design.. The stock frontend has been swapped for a Jincheng fork with disc brake whilst the swingarm was replaced with a C90 swingarm. Needless to say, the stock engine is no more.. Chromed mudguards instead of the stock low helmet-style mudguards. Custom exhaust and head-and rearlight. The recovered seat looks nice !
1960 C100 "Hoon" artbike built in 2006 by Shinya Kimura.
These early pics came from Zero's "Freetalk".. More pictures can be found at Chabott Engineering.. Also have a look at Shinya's blog, which shows his cool vintage machinery as well as his current project motorcycles and related stuff..
Made this pic of my old and gone TS50DX at a stop during a ride-out at the 5th Dax meeting in Visé (Belgium). Visé lies just over the Dutch border near Maastricht, people speak French over there.. good fries with mayonaise can be bought here.. Remember Vincent Vega ? ... Not only the Dutch like to drown their fries in mayonaise, the Belgians do it too !
