Good reading..

Scientific Publications, workshop manual series
These are basically Haynes style manuals, the Aussi way; very thorough and filled with B&W detail shots. There's also an issue covering the Honda C50/S50/C65/S65 and C70 (no.131), I am still looking for that one..

No. 129 ~ QA50 published Nov. 1973
No. 130 ~ SL70/CT90 manual published Febr. 1974.

Cycleserve Publications, servicing Honda motorcycles
These are Australian reprints of Honda shop manuals for the models stated on the cover.

Z50A/QA50 published Oct. 1973

XR75/SL70 published Dec. 1973

90 Series published Dec. 1973
Note the C90K3 DeLuxe with the Passport style clutchcover on the cover of the book.

Benni Voss on the strip..

Just received an email from the worldfamous Mr. Voss.
He has been a dragracing addict for years and has been the race
speaker on the German dragrace tracks for over 20 years..
The dragster Dax aka "Das Geraet" is still alive albeit covered underneath a 15 year old layer of dust in the man's basement..
Check out the Kool picture made in 1989 at the Hockenheim Quartermile with Benni on the track.
As a sidenote, the bike had a downdraft carb from a Fiat 127 and the clutch was still semi-automatic. He later on fitted an S90 clutch.
Note the stock 'pitbike' Dax ST50G in the background !

More about the dragster Dax can be found HERE..
Vielen dank Benni für die Info und das Bild!

Vintage speedparts

Custom Cubs from Indonesia

Sandhi mailed these cool pictures of his customized and modified C70's. He's from Bandung (Indonesia) and a member of the Streetdemons..

Racing style..
Big engine, crazy alloy wheels with skinny tyres and discbrakes front & rear.. Updated suspension, modified seats and custom paint...

..and Chopper style !

Rearfender removed and a custom tubular swingarm replaces the stock pressed steel one.
The stock wheels were replaced with multispoked ones.. No frontbrake, just a (disc)brake in rear..
Custom soloseat instead of the big dualseat and a tiny sissybar. At front there's a cleaned stock frontend with gimp style handlebars.. The stock engine was swapped for a 110cc engine fitted with a jockey shifter and supertrapp style muffler.

Mini sissybar with British taillight..

Gimp handlebars.. custom top tripple tree with risers.

Radial spoked rearwheel with discbrake..

110cc engine..  Carb fitted with a perforated velocity stack..

Jockey shifter and small soloseat..

Cool shot of Sandhi's brother riding through town..

Early stroker crankshaft for the '60s C200/CT200 (pushrod 90cc) by Powroll. Note the bulge on the rod and the "POWROLL" lettering on the big-end. This was forsale a while ago on ebay. Tried to buy it but non-US buyers were blocked. Damn..

CZ100 Monkey

A hell of a way to piss off the purists and collectors..
Check out the engine.. the C100 pushrod 50 is replaced with a S90 engine..
The coils were swapped since it probably didn't run properly hence no sparkplug and loose coil.

Above pictures are from the photoalbum of the Dax und Monkey Freunde Stuttgart.
